When we discuss external factors, we refer to situations such as access to resources, socioeconomic status, and systemic inequalities that play significant roles in shaping our experiences and our capability of contributing to the perception that life is hard for many people. In our way, I am discussing some of these external factors:

Access to Resources

Differences in various resource types like healthcare and education worsen challenges for several groups. Limited access to affordable healthcare can lead to untreated illnesses and financial problems. Educational disparities hinder academic success and job prospects, perpetuating inequality. Additionally, inadequate social support can leave individuals feeling isolated in times of need.

Socioeconomic Status

Economic factors like income, education, and job type significantly impact life quality/ People from lower socioeconomic backgrounds may struggle to access some essentials like healthcare, education, and housing. This can lead to stress and overwhelming feelings, limited opportunities, and difficulty breaking out of poverty problems.

Systemic Inequalities

Discriminatory practices within societal institutions disproportionately affect marginalized groups. This includes racism, sexism, ageism, and discrimination based on sexuality or disability. Systemic injustices manifest in unequal treatment in the legal system, employment disparities, and limited political representation. These injustices create barriers to success and contribute to feelings of injustice and hopelessness.

Taking about these external factors requires massive efforts to promote economic opportunity, ensure access to essential resources, and break systemic barriers. By analyzing the root causes of inequality, we can create a fairer society where each one of us has the opportunity to succeed in life.
